• Yr 3/4 Multi Skills Afterschool Club

  During the session we focused on tennis. We started with ball control, before using our back swing to play at a ball - all this with some of the children still in their pyjamas from World Book Day.

  Sophia's mummy came in to class to tell us about her job as a nurse. She explained how she helps poorly children at clinic and in hospital. She then showed us different equipment she uses to check temperature, heart rate and take blood. Scarlet volunteered to have her arm bandaged and put into a sling.

• World Book Day

  The children have made a fantastic effort for World Book Day. The Book in a Box creations are wonderful, thank you for all the contributions. 

   

  In Nursery we have painted the animals from the story Brown Bear Brown Bear. We love to tell this story in class. 

  

• Year 6 Design Technology - Shelters

  Year 6 recently completed their Design Technology project on the topic of Shelters.  We began by comparing a variety of shelters, analysing their purposes and looking more closely at the design of each one. 

   

  We completed investigations into which materials would be best to construct models from, and which materials would be best for waterproofing our own models.

   

  Following on from this, we designed our own shelters for our own chosen purposes.  Each of our shelters had to have a unique feature.   

   

  Finally, we constructed models of our shelters in small groups and evaluated our completed work.

  

• When I Grow Up I Want To Be......

  In class we are learning about the jobs our parents do. Today we talked about which jobs we would like when we grow up. Here's what Nursery had to say...

• Gymnastics

  The Nursery children had their first gymnastics session in the hall with Sophie today. They all did a brilliant job at listening to the instructions on how to move their bodies, use the equipment and stay safe. The children are also doing a fantastic job at putting their own socks and shoes back on.
