Christmas Time at St Mary's
Fri 18 Dec 2020As we come to the end of what has been a challenging and different term, we have tried to make Christmas time as special as we can!
We have enjoyed a fun filled week of Christmas dinner, Santa dashes, party day, treats from Father Christmas, lots of Christmas crafts, Christmas plays and Advent services filmed for the website and last but not least we all enjoyed a virtual pantomime...oh no you didn’t!...oh yes we did!
Staff and pupils are now ready for a good rest over the Christmas break!
We hope you and your families have a safe and restful Christmas.
You have all been emailed our Christmas Newsletter (it is also saved on the website)
Sadly, many of our pupils, parents and staff have lost loved ones and are faced with suffering in many ways during this pandemic. Please continue to pray for our St Mary's community:"God is love and He loves us as we are"God of heaven and earth,in these times of isolation, apart from loved onesdistant from friendsaway from neighboursthank you that there is nothingin all of creation, not even coronavirus, that is able to separate us from your love. And may your love that never failscontinue to be sharedthrough the kindness of strangerslooking out for each other, for neighbours near and farall recognising our shared vulnerability, each of us grateful for every breath, and willing everyone to know the giftof a full and healthy life.Keep us all in your care.AmenThank you for your continued support, we look forward to seeing you all in the new year: Monday 4th January 2021.

Kindness Calendar 2020
Wed 09 Dec 2020All through December, we are encouraging the children to learn about and practise kindness with The Snowman and The Snowdog kindness calendar.
Times have certainly been challenging this year, and we have all had to cope with and are still having to live with a lot of changes to our lives.
The British Red Cross is dedicated to helping create resilient communities, being kind and connected is an important part of resilience.
Let us all help our children to grow in power and strength to allow kindness and friendship to thrive in our school and community and also support them and others in overcoming challenges and changes.

St Mary’s Feast Day
Tue 08 Dec 2020Today we celebrated the feast of the Patron Saint of our school, St Mary.
For Catholics living all around the world, 8th December is a special feast day known as the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception.
We came together as a community to share a virtual assembly and sang some lovely hymns. All the children received a small treat and spent some time with their friends completing a peaceful mindfulness colouring activity.
