Year 6 Science: Making Periscopes

On Thursday afternoon Year 6 made periscopes, as part of our Light and Sight Science topic.  These enabled us to see around corners!  We also discussed how periscopes are used on Submarines, to help the people inside to see above the surface of the sea.  Our periscopes were constructed from cardboard nets, and with two mirrors in each one.  The skills we have gained from this activity will also come in useful on Friday morning, when we will be making nets of 3-D shapes in Maths.
