Where are we?
Fortunately we have had great weather for our weekend at Lledr. However the previous weeks had left some of the ground quite boggy and being in a valley with a river running through it, there was always bound to be some treacherous areas. And almost all the children managed to find these areas and have a stomping good time trying to get through it still wearing a pair of boots. We’ve renamed one of them ‘Oliver’s Mud Marsh’
The children really enjoyed the orienteering and really took to map reading with great energy. We started off with simple, visual maps and then moved them onto basic Ordnance Survey maps as they were so good with the easier ones. Some great surprises with children having a fantastic sense of direction and their surrounding. Winner of the award for getting Mr Chadwick stuck in a rescue mission goes to Holly.
