Tree Planting At Wardley Hall

Some members of the Eco Council joined forces with Steve Burrows, Trees for Life and other schools at the Laudato Si project at the home of Bishop John in Wardley Hall.

The project is part of a wider scheme to plant new trees from the Lancashire Coast all the way across the North to the East Coast near Hull. The improtant part for us was to help start the Memorial Forest and Fruit Orchard down at the hall.

Luckily the weather was great with not a spot of rain and the team had a quick lesson on how to dig, mulch and plant properly before covering the roots with protection from the frost and pesky squirrels.
