Time to Mine

After lunch we had a lovely walk in the sunshine down to the Great Orme Mine. Our guide told us some fantastic information about life in the mine from the Bronze Age through to Victorian times. The children donned their hard hats and entered into the tunnels. We saw how the smelting was done and that Bronze weapons produced here could be found as far away as Denmark & Norway!
