The Best World Book Day Ever – Our book is published!

Before Christmas Year 5L and 5C worked with the author, Sarah Oliver, to create the story lines for a new book, The Best World Book Day Ever. Working in groups the children had to devise the stories, using props, imagination, different genres and themes to talk all about a book day. The aim of the book is to inspire children to read different genres which could be newspapers, magazines, online articles, fiction and non-fiction books.

 

Sarah took the children’s work away and worked with the illustrator to create the finished article. And here it is! Today the children read the book with Sarah and then as all new book launches require: signed a few copies and the picture mount which will be displayed in the school.

 

Well done the budding authors and hopefully all will be inspired to get their names on future best sellers lists.
