Arts Week – The Americas

As we have been looking at Pyramids in mathematics what better way to show real life examples than the Aztecs. We researched into the history of the Aztecs and how, without ever seeing the Egyptians, they were building pyramids at almost the same time.

So using papyrus we looked at the Aztec alphabet and the children then created their own scrolls with either their names or a completely new Aztec design.
