Our Parish

We are proud to be a part of St Ambrose Barlow Parish.  We continue to maintain the Catholic ethos of the school and have very good links, working in partnership with the churches in our parish.   

The school supports the Parish through various fund raising events throughout the year.

The Sacramental Programme takes place in school with links to Masses and celebrations at St Mark’s RC Church. 

Year 3 children take part in a very special journey towards their First Holy Communion. 

The children, alongside attending mass every week, take part in compulsory units.

Unit 1: We are The People of God

Unit 2: We are People Who Pray

Unit 3: We are People Who Celebrate Forgiveness (First Confession)

Unit 4: We are People who Celebrate God’s World

Unit 5: We are People who Follow Jesus

As Year 3 is a very special year for children at St. Mary’s, we are always actively looking for other ways to incorporate their journey into our lessons, so that it is always at the forefront of their minds.
