Drama club takes place every Monday lunch time in Spring term for KS2, with Mrs Murphy. During these sessions we learn about a range of acting skills, including body language, using our voice, mime, and acting for physical theatre. We also explore different types of theatres and their layout, as well as using scripts, costume and props.
St Mary’s choir meet every Friday lunch time throughout the school year with Mrs Murphy to rehearse a variety of songs including hymns, musical numbers, modern day pop songs and songs from other eras and cultures.
We enjoy our regular performances for the community and our local parish, at our local church and The Fountains nursing home. Throughout the year we take part in special concerts and joint performances with other schools and community groups.
Pupils from Year 2 to KS2 have the opportunity to have guitar lessons with the MAPAS service.
Dance After School Club
