KS2 Mission Day
The Mission team was in school on Tuesday 18th May to work with the Key stage 2 children on the theme of Pentecost. All pupils, parents and grandparents were then invited to a special assembly on Wednesday 19th May in the school hall where they were treated to a huge celebration of the children's work. Through drama, dance and song the children explained Pentecost to their audience.
Links with the Parish of St. Mary's, Swinton
Parish Mission Team:
This year the Parish Mission team will continue the work they started last year in school. This will especially involve Year 5 and Year 2 children. Last year the Year 5 class found the sessions very enjoyable and it helped them all to investigate, strengthen and develop their faith through various ways including through song and dance.
1st Holy Communion
A special mass was celebrated on the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and it was followed by a celebration party for all the children who made their First Holy Communion this summer. Congratulations to all the children who have now completed the sacramental programme and have become full members of the church.
